Comments: A clump form of Stewartia in a beautiful grove amongst beech, sweetleaf, oak, and assorted ferns. Tree is protected in a city park and growing nicely. Tree does not qualify as a national champ because the circumference is less than 9 inches.

A foot search for the tree in 2019 could not locate it. Presumed dead.
