2022 update: Tree is very healthy. Circumference was measured at 4' because tree is on a slope.
2012 update: A very healthy tree along the Potomac Heritage Trail. Originally nominated as Quercus coccinea, but later discovered to be Quercus palustris. Another champion pin oak is nearby. 2012 measurements by R. Vickers: Circumference 172", Height 138', Crown 73', Points 328.
