Comments: 2022 update: The former state champion London planetree has been cut down. The previous owners of the property have both passed away, and a new owner has bought it. It had been heard that the new owner has cleared several of the big trees near the water and is in the process of tearing down the house. A visit past the property by Carol King in January 2022 confirmed the tree was removed.
2017 update: The tree appears very healthy and sound. It shows no signs of decline and appears well cared for. Tree has grown a bit since initial measurement in 2008. It seems very healthy and happy. Tree was planted my owner's wife's grandfather.
