2023 comments: A visit to the site in July 2023 by volunteer Scott Ramsey found only 8' tall dead snag remained standing. Did not find any signs of resprouting.
2008 comments: Healthy, yes; Endangered, no. All plants in park are protected. Tree reported in 2008 versus tree reported in 1987 may not be the same tree. Photos look slightly different, and the locations don't quite match up.
1987 comments: Branch exists at 4.5' above ground, so trunk measured at 2' above ground. Trunk=47", Height=23', Crown=40, Score=80 points. Measured by Byron Carmean and Gary Williamson.
