Comments: Declared national champion in 2018 and recognized in 2019 as co-champion with another specimen in Alexandria, VA. Tree appears healthy and well cared for in safe location. One of trees noted on MacMillan's 1960 survey of Arlington National Cemetery, this specimen has grown very little in the past 57 years. Quadrant photos of the trunk are in digital records. Two other C. tenuifolia are growing near this specimen.
