Comments: Declared national champion in 2016 and recognized as national co-champion in 2019, sharing title with a tree in Ohio. The tree should be safe and receives good care.
Trunk comprises three stems that fork at about 3 feet above ground line. Trunk measurement recorded here is the smallest girth between ground level and the trunk fork. Each stem girth was measured at 4.5' above ground in June 2022 and recorded as 83", 82", 58". A composite trunk circumference calculated from these measurements would be 130", which would bring the score down to 232 points. The national co-champion in Ohio has a similar trunk form, so these trees are being similarly compared. |
