Comments: 2022 update: Tree appears to be in good health with a full crown and no decline. Tree was originally nominated by Byron Carmean and Gary Williamson in 1988 at 186 points. It was "rediscovered" in 2004 and remeasured at 221 points. Became National Champion in 2009 and increased slightly in size when last measured in 2012.
