Comments:
2024 comments: This tree is healthy. Growing on stream bank, which made trunk measurement difficult. Circumference reported here is at 4.5’ on uphill side. On the downhill side, 163" (on the root flair). Crown measurement obstructed by neighboring red spruce.
2010 comments: Measured in 2010 by Byron Carmean, Gary Williamson, and Jeff Kirwan. Circumference: 101", Height: 75', Crown: 43', Points: 187. This tree was discovered while searching for a red spruce originally nominated in 1975 at 184 points by Charles Hinsen. The tree described here matches the general location and description of the 1975 tree, but cannot definitively say that it is the same tree.
