2018 update: This pecan is very healthy, but does have a fair amount of mistletoe in the branch tops. This is the largest of 15 impressive pecan trees on the grounds of Summerville Plantation, established in 1735. Owner for 200 years was the Tabb family. John Tabb was an officer in the Continental Army and friend of Thomas Jefferson. Possible connection with Jefferson and nuts brought back from the Mississippi Valley.
