Comments: Tree appears healthy and is not endangered by construction. This is one of two Coast redwoods (other is about 20 feet away) that were planted as cuttings in 1953. This inform from web site for William and Mary's Henley Plant Tour: http://www.wm.edu/leec/planttour/blair.html. 2017: Was competing with its sister redwood and a holly tree for sunlight, as well as being shaded by the building. The tree however seems to be in good health. Crown width is easier to take with two people at this location, due the large amount of branches from multiple trees. It Is best to use one person as a spotter to get the other underneath a more accurate position.
