Comments:
2018 update: Tree is in excellent condition. It has high vitality, no canopy dieback, and no significant structural defects. A few dead branches and a mild outbreak of fall webworm were present at the time of recertification. Appears to have been open grown for most of its life. Seems to be an old-aged tree given its size and thick scruffy bark. Wouldn't be surprised if it is over 150 years old. The tree is loved by the family and they are committed to protecting and caring for it. They have started raising honey bees and the tree was in full flower and buzzing with bees the day that it was recertified.
2008 update: Pasture tree-healthy. Measured by Dennis Anderson.
