2026 comments: The oak recently lost a large branch that fell on the house. Branch was removed by arborists and the tree is otherwise in good condition.
2024 comments: Recognized again as national champion.
2018 comments: Tree looks to be doing well. Need to keep an eye on the English ivy to ensure that it doesn't return and overtake it.
2008 comments: Declared national champion in 2008. It shades several yards as it wedges between houses and outbuildings. Tree is cared for by an arborist and a heavy infestation of English ivy was recently removed.
