2022 update: The tree appears to be in good health and is being maintained by Bartlett Tree Experts. It has a full crown with no decline. Previous height measurement was found to be erroneous, which reduced the score at this recertification.
Excessive vine growth has been removed. Large amount of deadwood has been pruned. Evidence of root damage present (sidewalk construction, pedestrian traffic, and attempts at establishing turf). Tennis courts, sidewalk, and road are covering 50% of the tree's root system). Tree was "very healthy and very beautiful" in 1991. The tree received a grant for care and is now being cared for. 2012 measurements by Landon Webb: circumference 229", height 96', crown 105', points 351.
