2024 update: Recognized as national co-champion with with another specimen on the same hillside.
2020 comments: Recognized in 2019 as national co-champion with another specimen on the same hillside. Tree remains healthy. Trunk has reverse taper due to branching at about 5 feet above ground level, so trunk circumference was measured at narrowest point, which is 2.5 feet above ground line.
2010 comments: Measured in 2010 by Carmean, Williamson, and Kirwan at 72", 29', 37', 110 points.
