2022 update: Stout tree with several large low branches near ground level. One of several large specimens in this stand. Crown spread estimated from 2017 LiDAR is slightly larger than ground-based measurements, which were more conservative.
2012 update: This tree was discovered when excursion was made to find a former champ at the same location, which was deceased. Two new trees were found at that time--this one and a larger one. Tree is fairly healthy. Some large cankers are present. Measured by Landon Webb and Brittney Chitwood. Circumference 127", height 99", crown 61'. Total of 241 points.
