2023 comments: This tree was originally nominated as Vaccinium corymbosum and was recognized as state champ of that species for a decade. However, a revisit to the tree in 2023 revealed that it is actually Vaccinium arboreum. Tree was not remeasured at that time.
2014 comments: The tree appears healthy and sound. It is protected.
