2026 Comments: Base of trunk is very hollow, and a cavity opening comprises about 40% of the trunk circumference. Crown once comprised several leaders. Only one small stem remains atop the bulbous trunk base.
2016 Comments: Another of the "turnip tree" baldcypress, so-called because of the substantial swelling of the annually submerged trunk base. The tree was remeasured in 2016 at a very low stage of the river, increasing the trunk score substantially and increasing the tree from 557 points to 612 points. Previously measured by Byron Carmean and Gary Williamson - Trunk: 520", Height: 84', Crown: 30', Total Points: 612.
