2024 comments: There is extensive decay in the codominant trunk union. Trunk diameter measured at 24" above ground. Tree was measured to be 19' shorter than the previous measurement, most likely due to measurement error previously, since no indications of crown dieback or damage. Tree should be measured and scored using composite functional trunk circumference in the future.
2014 comments: Tree is completely healthy. Located at Meadow Creek at Mark Center, City of Alexandria, Virginia. Tree is on the ancestral stream bank of Holmes Run, probably within the RPA, near the southeast end of Ascot Court. Tree was measured by Rod Simmons, circumference measured at 24" above ground line. Height measured with a clinometer. 147” trunk, 110’ height, 80’ crown, 272 points.
