Comments:
2025 comments: This tree remains in good condition. Its growth habit is a cluster of 6 live stems. The secondary stems emerge from the soil around the base of the largest primary stem. All are assumed to belong to a single plant, but only the primary stem was measured because the secondary stems developed later in life and are considered more like branches for this growth habit. The largest stem was measured at its narrowest girth between ground line and the fork of a lateral branch, which was about 1.3' above the ground. The measurement height is along the axis of the leaning stem, not the vertical height. The crown spread and height are based on the entire plant and its 6 live stems.
2015 comments: The tree appears healthy and sound. It grows in a protected area. The measurements taken by Byron Carmean, Jeff Kirwan, and Gary Williamson were 19" trunk, 28' height, and 29' crown for a total of 54 points.
