2025 comments: According to Kevin Dowd with Bartlett Tree Experts, this tree experienced significant and rapid crown dieback over the past few years for reasons that are unclear. Although the tree is still alive, it will have to be severely pruned to remove hazardous portions of the crown. This will adversely affect the height and crown spread of the tree and significantly reduce its score. Although there may still be life in the tree, its time in the big tree register has come to an end.
