Comments: This tree was first nominated in 2006 by VDOF Forester Nelson Shaw, but did not make it into the register until 2019. Appears to be in good health. Some interior branches are dying/dead most likely from lack of sunlight on the interior leaves. Trunk is multi-stemmed near ground line, which is common for old, cultivated specimens of the species. Trunk was measured at 3' above ground line. Low branches and root suckers were excluded from the measurement.
