Comments: This tree is on unrestricted public property. The tree is in very good condition and appears to be healthy. It has an ID tag. Beautiful tree, with wide spreading even canopy. Likely was not nominated earlier on, due to the complexity of the trunk. This tree slightly beats, in score, the other large Deodar cedar, on the other side of Maymont (near the children’s farm). It is the largest and tallest of numerous Deodar cedars on the grounds.

The tree consists of a main primary leader, which contributes to most of the tree's height, and two smaller major leaders jut off to the sides, forming the edge of the tree's crown. All 3 trunks share a common root crown, so this is clearly one tree. The primary leader, and the two other major stems were measured for a composite circumference at 4.5 ft. They were: 184”, 91”, and 85”.
