Comments: Tree is healthy, but somewhat structurally compromised due to large co-dominant leaders with extensive bark inclusion and a basal cavity. Does not appear to have received professional care because the crown has a heavy load of dead branches and a large leader stub that was improperly cut many years ago. Canopy was densely foliated in early April and had just bloomed, somewhat earlier than other Higan cherry in the area.

Composite trunk circumference was calculated from measurement of two primary leaders. The west side leader is the dominant leader in the tree and measured 103"" circumference at 4.5' above ground. The east side leader is the subordinate leader and has a secondary fork at 4.5' above ground. One of these secondary forks had been cut off. Therefore the other half of the secondary fork was measured around its circumference above the fork. It measured 59"" at about 5.5' above ground. A basal circumference measurement around the entire trunk about 2' above ground was 148"".
