Comments: Species identification confirmed by dendrologists at Virginia Tech. Located on grounds of Colonial National Historical Park. Old age tree. Health is fair. Upper canopy is thin and several upper branches are dead. One low, large branch is of particular aesthetic interest due to its twisted configuration. The tree is heavily visited by those coming to view the adjacent Yorktown Victory Monument.
