Comments: This huge specimen is right next to another huge loblolly pine (id 3044) that was also nominated. The tree is very healthy. The root zone of the tree is within the freshwater of Mariners' Lake. The canopy is spread out over the lake cove and was photographed with a drone and measured with a laser device.

Directions: Located on a wooded embankment within a cove on Mariners' Lake in back of William's Field. Its rootzone is within the fresh water of the Mariners' Lake. To locate this tree; take Warwick Blvd. to Avenue of the Arts...to Museum Drive. Follow Museum Dive to Boundary Road and turn left onto Boundary Road. Follow Boundary Road to a mid-point and turn left into William's Field. On the backside of the field will be the sloped woodline for this tree location. Follow GPS coordinates to location.
