Comments:
2019 comments: The tree appears to be in poor health, but is well maintained. There are large amounts of decay on the trunk and upper branches, which could lead to branch failure in a few years. Has grown in crown spread and circumference over the years. The tree still has an attractive form.

2012 comments: Measured by Landon Webb at 168", 59', 72', 244 points.

2004 comments: Measured by Joe Murray and students at 168", 60', 65', 244 points. Average crown spread reduced from 1988. May be due to failure of long, overextended branches. Even with an extensive cabling system, the branches have internal decay and numerous sites of Nectria cankers. Trunk circumference measured 4' above ground to avoid swelling of branch collar.

1988 comments: Measured by Byron Carmean and Gary Williamson at 152", 55', 86', 229 points.

Tree appears to have been nominated at a previous date by Richard Salzer at 134", 65', 86', 221 points.
