2024 update: Recognized as national champion for first time.
2024 comments: The tree is very healthy. Trunk circumference was measured at 3' to avoid the reverse taper of the trunk due to low forking into multiple stems.
2013 comments: Tree looks very healthy. It has about a 10 foot butt log and then 5 individual stems above that. The stems range from 16 to 20 inches in diameter. It is located on a ridge and is in no danger of buildings or cattle. Measured in 2013 by Jordan Endahl. Circumference: 202", Height: 104', Crown: 60', Points: 321.

Directions: Park at the large pond on Sweetwater Drive. The tree is on the ridge to the right of the farm road that runs NW past the pond. Do not follow this farm road. Access the tree by walking to the next valley 100 yards to the east and following that farm road to the NW. The road in this valley will likely be wet or a little muddy in the valley. Take the fork that takes you up hill to the left. The tree will be on the ridge, on the left side of the road.
