Known as "The Pecsek Oak" in honor of owner at time of original nomination was Theresa Pecsek.
Remeasure 4/9/22. Tree lost a portion of the peak of the crown recently, presumably to storm damage, reducing its height. Because of the broad, raised root collar on the tree, a line level was used to determine 4.5' above the ground outside of the root collar.
Remeasure 10/10/15. Area around the tree previously cluttered is now cleaned up, mowed, and the tree is exceptionally beautiful.
2009. This tree is healthy and sound, though it is said to have sustained the loss of a major limb in recent years. The tree is growing on top of an old junk pile; its roots have grown around many articles of rusted metal. Undergrowth has covered the ground under the tree in recent years. First measured in 2009 by Willis and Caskie.
