Comments:
2023 update: Tree appears healthy. Several large branches have been pruned and/or removed over time for the health of the tree. Also, evidence of wounds from branch failures in the past. This has reduced the average crown spread considerably.
2013 update: Several large branches pruned. Evidence of dieback in upper crown. Drains installed around trunk. Recently pruned to remove dead and dying branches. Visible large wounds from previous branch failures. Receiving fungicide injections to control Dutch elm disease. Measured in 2013 by Jerry Wyatt and Christine Woodson at 235", 107', 111', 370 points. Height reported in 2013 was 107'. However, 2014 LiDAR indicates height of 83'. On-site observation of the tree suggests that 2013 measurement was over-estimated.
