Comments: This is a beautiful tree in the front yard of an old farm house in Floyd County. The house is about 150 years old. Believe the tree was planted when the house was built. Species identification is inconclusive based on examination of flowers and foliage. Originally nominated as southern catalpa, so this identification will remain until conclusive identification can be obtained.

2021 update: Tree appeared in good health with some dead limbs present in the crown.
