2026 comments: Based on Google Street View taken in September 2025, about 60% of the crown is dead, including the top half of the central leader.
2017 comments: Terminal shoot in decline indicating possible root or disease issue. Some 10 feet of this shoot is dead. No apparent borer or insect issues noted. This tree was first nominated in the 1970s when it was owned by W. H. Falconer. Measured in 2007 by Jeff Kirwan.
