Comments: Declared national champion in 2018 and recognized as national co-champion in 2019, sharing the title with a tree in New Hampshire. The tree appears exceptionally healthy. It is a double-stemmed tree and was measured 2 feet up from the mid-slope position above the trunk flare.

Currently the all-time largest specimen of the species documented in Virginia.
