2025 comments: Tree was originally identified as Chamaecyparis thyoides. Closer examination of foliage and cones in 2025 clarified identity as Chamaecyparis obtusa. Tree has storm damage and has lost a large trunk, but main trunk and lower branches are remarkably healthy. and have many budding cones are visible.
2015 comments: A very healthy, split-trunk cedar. Tree was last measured at 125", 65', 36', and 199 points in 2015 by Robert Vickers.
