2025 comments: This former state champion tree was removed at some point between 2017 and 2018 due to declining health and concerns for visitor safety and potential damage to the historic Lacy House.
2015 comments: Tree is relatively healthy and managed by natural resource staff. Past storm damage has caused some loss of major limbs, but does not threaten its health.
